On Saturday, the American South Premier Regular Season champions, New Jersey Alliance FC, defeated Steel Pulse 4-2 on penalty kicks after a pulsating 2-2 tie with Emiland Elezaj (81st minute) and Dorgeles Coulibaly (120th minute) with the goals to ensure the club advance to their first ever U.S. Open Cup after the penalties.
On Sunday, the American North Premier Regular Season champions, NY Renegades FC, defeated Lansdowne Yorkers FC 4-1 on penalty kicks after an entertaining 1-1 tie with Jeison Solano Green (82nd minute) with the equalizer to ensure his club advance to their first ever U.S. Open Cup after the penalties.
Virginia Dream FC, from the DMV South Premier, also qualified for their first ever U.S. Open Cup after a thrilling 2-1 win over Aegean Hawks FC with goals from Nicolas Likulia (17th minute) and Akingbolahan Akinkoye (89th minute).
All three teams will be looking forward to the 2025 U.S. Open Cup First Round draw by U.S. Soccer in early 2025.
